Restaurant Receives 9th Platinum Consumers’ Choice Award
Tampa, Florida, August 2009 – Outback Steakhouse recently received the Platinum Award (first place) in the best steakhouse category in Restaurants & Institutions magazine’s annual Consumers’ Choice in Chains awards. This is the ninth year that Outback has received this honor.

Now in its 29th year, the Restaurants & Institutions annual awards program recognizes restaurants that are selected through a national survey of 3,000 restaurant customers. Diners were asked to rate nearly 120 chain restaurants on eight guest satisfaction points: food quality, menu variety, value, service, atmosphere, cleanliness, reputation and convenience. Winners are named in 13 menu categories.
