Tampa, Fla., Nov. 9, 2015 – To recognize all that military service members do for our country, this Veterans Day Outback Steakhouse is again honoring all active and retired military members on Nov. 11 with a free Bloomin' Onion and a Beverage. To express continued support for our troops beyond Veterans Day, Outback is also offering all Military Mates, including active or retired military members and their families, 15% off their check from Nov. 12 - Dec. 31. Plus, for the first time ever, Outback is honoring those who are currently serving our country by offering a Veterans Day Rain Check for a free Bloomin’ Onion to deployed service men and women.*
To receive the Outback Veterans Day Rain Check, deployed service men and women simply need to register at Outback.com/Military between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31. Outback will then send an email voucher for a free Bloomin’ Onion which can be redeemed by presenting the printed Rain Check, along with a valid military ID, at participating U.S. Outback Steakhouses in 2016.
“We’re proud to serve those who bravely serve our country and we wanted to ensure that all military service members receive a token of our appreciation, even those who are currently deployed,” said Jeff Smith, President, Outback Steakhouse.
The free Bloomin’ Onion and a Beverage offer, which includes any Coca-Cola beverage, is perfect to pair with Outback’s new Grass-Fed Burger and bold new steak toppings, including Roasted Garlic Butter, Smokey Bacon Bourbon and Mushroom Marsala.
For more than 25 years, Outback Steakhouse has supported military service members and their families, whether by feeding troops actively serving abroad or by feeding heroes as they returned home. Over the past five years alone, Outback has donated more than $3 million to aid military families as service members transitioned out of active duty by providing food assistance, auto and home repair, vision care, travel and transportation, moving assistance, essential home items and financial assistance. This year – the second of its partnership with Folds of Honor, which gives educational scholarships to spouses and children of fallen or disabled service members – Outback has donated $250,000 to the organization, which will provide assistance to 50 families across the nation.
